The April meeting is over and it was another exciting event.
Dr. Bobby Virk spoke to the district on the effects of budget cuts on adult dental health. We discussed the following resolutions:
- Resolution Against Cuts to the Social Security Administration Budget (endorsed unanimously)
- Resolution Against the Privatization of Medicare (endorsed unanimously)
- Resolution in Support of Requiring Seattle Police Officers to Wear Body Cameras While on Duty (endorsed unanimously after debate and revision)
Bruce Harrell’s campaign staff paid us a visit for an early endorsement request for his reelection campaign. He received our endorsement. http://www.electbruceharrell.com/
Lloyd Hara spoke to the group about his office and the success of the updated website. (http://www.kingcounty.gov/Assessor.aspx) He also requested an early endorsement request of his reelection campaign. He received our endorsement (unanimous).
