Getting there: The Community Center at Mercer View is conveniently located off of Interstate 90 (Island Crest Way exit) on Mercer Island. It’s a very short walk from the Mercer Island Park and Ride, which is served by many bus routes, such as Sound Transit’s 550 Express. We strongly recommend taking transit to get the event if you’re coming from Seattle… I-90 has inherited State Route 520′s legendary traffic jams since tolling began on the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge.
For those who will be driving, consider carpooling to the event so you can use the express lanes or the HOV lanes on I-90. If you need to come from the north Eastside, take 148th Avenue NE or Bellevue Way to I-90 instead of I-405. There is ample parking available at the Community Center itself. Here is a map of the location:
Conveniently and securely buy tickets to our event in advance using the buttons below. Your payment information will be encrypted and transmitted over a secure connection.

Not familiar with our work?
A strategy center is an organization that helps people think and act pragmatically so they can realize their goals. That is NPI’s role within the progressive movement.
At our core, we’re a think tank generating and refining ideas that support progressive policy directions (like environmental protection or universal healthcare). But we’re also a media, advocacy, and outreach organization. because we know that good ideas can’t do much good if nobody knows about them. It’s this practical focus on making ideas happen that sets us apart from traditional think tanks.
Think of NPI as a Swiss Army knife for the progressive movement. We’re a multifaceted organization that has been built out of limited resources to move quickly and effectively.
We maximize every dollar donated to us because we have to: we run on grassroots energy and small dollar donations.
We’re funded and supported by activists who want to invest in permanent infrastructure, not just win the next campaign. Our goal is to sustain and strengthen the progressive movement between elections using the latest technology.
