I’m not talking about the weather. I’m talking about Washington State’s early August primary election – now only 21 days away. Ballots will arrive in your mailbox later this week.
The August 7th primary is right in the middle of the Dog Days of Summer – a difficult time to campaign and a very tough time to hold an important election.
Republicans love to manipulate low turnout elections. That’s why our candidates and our grassroots teams are feeling the heat.
They know the August election results will be watched carefully and interpreted as a barometer of things to come. It will dictate the amount of money invested in our state by national committees and super PACs.
Can you donate $5 today and support our work as we get ready for the August 7th primary?
Part of my job as the Executive Director of the Washington State Democrats is to monitor our grassroots election teams. Believe me, they’re doing a great job – at work every day, pushing through the long summer days and staying focused on the important primary election 21 days from now.
But when they need help, it’s also my job to ask our donor base for support. That’s what I’m doing today.
The primary election is just 21 days from now. Please support the important efforts of our grassroots teams with a “Summer 2012” contribution:
Our Democratic candidates count on the Washington State Democratic Party’s community-based grassroots campaign teams and our voter contact programs. Your individual donation is critical to the success of our effort.
Your donation of $5, $10, $15, or more will help ensure success for our Democratic candidates 21 days from now.
Thank you for your support.
