Winning Members of Congress were chosen by the Best of Congress Steering Committee based on their achievements, voting records, office policies and advocacy efforts to advance economically sound policies that support the following issues: Workplace Flexibility, Family Economic Stability, Work and Family balance and Workforce Readiness.

“All people should have the opportunity to work and still be there to meet their family’s needs,” Adam said. “Policies that support the balance between work and family are critical to maintaining a healthy quality of life for all Americans and to enhancing productivity in the workplace.”

Smith Cosponsors the High School Athletics Accountability Act

Adam recently cosponsored the High School Athletics Accountability Act, H.R. 458, which would require high schools to publicly report basic data on the number of female and male students participating in their athletic programs and the expenditures made for their sports teams. This information is already collected by schools, but this bill would make baseline Title IX information available to the public.
